We are Jan (pronounced Yan) and Rosanne and we are a husband-and-wife photography team. We’re based out of the beautiful Cowichan Valley, but we’re available for weddings across Vancouver Island.
Six years ago we were in your shoes and we were planning our own wedding. Probably a very different wedding than the one you are planning, because we were living in the Netherlands where we were both born. Wedding traditions in Holland are very different. For example, the groom picks up his bride in the morning from her parents’ home. Another interesting fact is that we wear our wedding rings on the right hand instead of the left one! We could probably write a book about the differences… but we don’t want to bore you
We love the art of photography and we love having people in front of our cameras! We really have the best job in the world! It’s so much fun to capture all the special moments of a wedding and to create beautiful images for our clients.
We’re all about making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We understand how it feels, and trust me, we’d much rather be behind the camera than in front of it! But, we promise, you WILL get used to it! One thing we aren’t is formal, we like to blend in at your wedding and not stand out as “the photographers.” Our approach is very casual and we really want you to have a fun time! But, we also want to make you look great, so we might give you some direction to create that perfect image.
