Yesterday, we met little Mayla for her newborn session. She is such an adorable little girl with her long hair and skinny legs! It was such a treat to work with her and her parents! Below are a couple of our favourites from the session.

We thought it would be nice to share some interesting wedding venues on Vancouver Island on our blog for brides that are planning their wedding. Today, we would like to share about a very cool B&B for more intimate weddings.
The Amethyst Inn in Victoria is a lovely 19th century building that has been completely restored, but a lot of the original details are still there. The interior is simply stunning. There are beautiful antiques everywhere you look. Even the phones in the rooms are antique! It’s a photographer’s dream to take photos at such a beautiful place. Of course, there are modern luxuries as well, such as wide-screen TVs, mini-bars and internet.
This location is ideal for couples that are looking to spend their special day with close friends and family. And the inn has room to accommodate up to 30 people, so everyone could stay if they wanted to, and you could all enjoy breakfast together in the morning. So if you’re looking for a place where you can celebrate your wedding with a small group of friends you should definitely check out their website!
Harvey and Debbie are such a great couple, it was awesome to work with them! We met them at their ceremony location: St. Ann’s Academy in Victoria and then went on to Beacon Hill Park. We also took some beach shots where Harvey spontaneously wrote their wedding date in the sand
We’re definitely looking forward to their big day as well… they have some really cool plans, but you’ll need to stay tuned until May for that!
