A couple of months ago Rosanne’s cousin asked us if we would photograph their wedding in Holland, and of course we said yes. Saskia and Jeroen have been together for a very long time, and it was wonderful to be part of their special day!
The traditions in the Netherlands are quite different than those in North America. For example, the groom comes to pick up his bride in the morning at her parent’s house. This is usually very early in the morning. Their wedding was no exception, so Jeroen was there at 8.30 am to pick up his bride! After some coffee and breakfast we went off for the photo session, and we definitely had a lot of fun. It was supposed to rain that day, but it wasn’t until late in the afternoon that the first drops fell. They were really lucky!
Last Sunday we’ve met a lot of really nice brides at the Nanaimo Bridal Exhibition. We had such a great time meeting them and chatting a little bit about their weddings. It was such a gorgeous day outside, so we were kind of surprised that there were so many brides. But I think they had a good time too, there were a lot of exhibitors and cool fashion shows, so they probably did get a lot of great ideas for their wedding.
We have decided to extend our bridal show promotion to anyone that books their wedding photography package before March 21st! We thought that couples would appreciate that they can choose their own gift, instead of us giving you something that you don’t really like that much! So these are your options:
