Wedding Adam & Lindsay | Fort Langley Wedding Photographer

It doesn’t happen very often that we get to congratulate the couple on their marriage the first time we see them in the morning. But with Adam & Lindsay we did. They actually got married at the LDS temple very early Friday morning with only a couple of close friends and family present. You might think that this made the ring ceremony in the afternoon less special, but that was definitely not true. We haven’t seen a groom yet that was so touched seeing his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. From their engagement session a couple of weeks ago we knew that these guys are truly meant to be, and on their wedding day we got to witness their deep love for each other again! It was great to be part of their special day.

Wedding Bryan & Rochelle at Eaglequest Coyote Creek | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

These guys were so much fun to work with! We shot their engagement session in Gastown and that’s where we went back for their wedding photos.
They decided to do a “first look” in the morning, so they would be able to move quickly from the ceremony into the reception. We’ve done quite a few first looks this season and it’s something we always discuss with our couples. If a couple isn’t big on traditions, the first look is a great way to spend some time together in the morning and it allows us to create beautiful portraits of either just the bride and groom or with the wedding party as well.
Bryan & Ro, we hope that you guys will soon be able to start your life together when Ro can move down to Seattle! It must be so hard that now you’re still living a couple of hours apart. We wish you all the best for your marriage and hope to stay in touch!

Wedding Wayne & Adina at Whitley House | Qualicum Beach Wedding Photographer

Last weekend Wayne & Adina tied the knot at the Whitley House in Qualicum Beach. This beautiful location provided a wonderful backdrop for their emotional ceremony. Wayne and Adina had written their own vows, and I just think it makes it so much more special to hear a couple use their own words to promise their lifelong commitment to each other.
A couple of days before the wedding there were still a lot of things to take care of, but they pulled it off and everything was ready for their beautiful day! Some people don’t completely understand how time consuming planning a wedding is, but it really is not an easy job. It’s wonderful that there are usually so many family members and bridesmaids and groomsmen willing to help out! But even with their help most couples (especially brides) afterward say how they would have liked to hire a wedding planner.
A slideshow with a larger selection of images will follow, but for now you can enjoy a sneak peek.
