Earlier this week I met up with Lorieann & Josh in Nanaimo. She’s a heavy-duty mechanic and he’s a welder and they live in Fort McMurray where he was born and raised. The day before the session Lorieann emailed me that when they had been at a music festival where she received a black eye from the crowd. Thankfully, a makeup artist from Maffeo Salon was able to cover it up completely! You couldn’t tell at all! I can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of weeks! I am sure it’ll be a lot of fun.
Brittney & Rohann met in grade 9, and started dating a year after they graduated in 2008. They separated for about 18 months while she attended college and he worked. In September last year they eventually got back together. Brittney didn’t have to wait long for the proposal, which happened on November 4th, knowing that they were ready to be together and start their life together. They are both Christians and I love how they have committed to staying pure. It is quite something that they are waiting to share their first kiss as husband and wife!
They told me that they loved old rustic buildings and antiques, so when I told them about the Butter Church in Duncan they were all over it. So that’s what we did for their engagement session.
Rebecca & Josh are both from Victoria, but live in Vancouver where she works as a PE teacher and he as an accountant. Their wedding is coming up in a couple of weeks and they will be getting married on the beach in Parksville. When we started talking about what ideas they had in terms of photos, Rebecca told us that one of their hobbies is flying, so that’s when we suggested to do their engagement session at the Aviation Museum in Sidney.
