Last week we shot Wayne & Adina’s engagement photos at Little Qualicum Falls, a beautiful provincial park. Their wedding was planned a few days after their engagement session, which was this past Saturday. We will soon be posting our favourites from their wedding as well.
We soon learned about Adina’s habit of being fashionably late. All the time. Not only at her first day of college, but also at her engagement session, AND her wedding ceremony. Luckily, Wayne has gotten used to this habit, and he was not worried at all about her possibly not showing up at their wedding. He knew their love was real and that Adina would show up when she was ready. But we digress… this post has some of our favourites from their engagement session and our favourites from their wedding will follow within the next few days!

I’d like to share some of my favourites from Shanda & James’ engagement session. These guys live in a beautiful area, so we didn’t really need to go anywhere for their photos, we just took these shots in their backyard and in the immediate surrounding area. One of their little dogs tried to steal the attention and posed next to them so she would be included in a few shots. Shanda & James, you guys did fantastic! Hope you have a wonderful wedding and an even better marriage!

Harvey and Debbie are such a great couple, it was awesome to work with them! We met them at their ceremony location: St. Ann’s Academy in Victoria and then went on to Beacon Hill Park. We also took some beach shots where Harvey spontaneously wrote their wedding date in the sand We’re definitely looking forward to their big day as well… they have some really cool plans, but you’ll need to stay tuned until May for that!

Kim & Carl’s Engagement Portrait Session – Victoria Lifestyle Wedding Photographer

Earlier this week we met Kim and Carl and their beautiful daughter. Kim and Carl are getting married next May in Victoria. We met them at Beacon Hill Park in Victoria to first take a few portraits of their little girl (she loved chasing the ducks!) and then we did some more of the two of them at the beach.

For Matt & Anna’s engagement session there definitely was no lack of ideas on their part where to go for photos. We walked around Chinatown, managed to get a few shots in Fan Tan Alley (the narrowest street of Canada!) before they closed the gates, then headed into Esquimalt over the Johnson Street Bridge for some train track shots and of course some shots with downtown Victoria in the background. Enjoy the photos!

For Scott & Melissa’s engagement session we went to beautiful Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver. The location was awesome (despite the bee-sting…) and Melissa and Scott were a great couple to work with! This couple is only a few weeks away from their wedding in September. Yesterday we went to the White Rock beach area for an engagement session with Melodie and Mike. They’ve been engaged since last Christmas and will be getting married in July next year. It was awesome to meet them and we look forward to capturing their wedding memories.

Yesterday evening we had an engagement / family portrait session with Bryan and Megan and her two kids. Megan and Bryan will be getting married in September this year in Deer Lake Park in Burnaby and that’s where we headed for their photo session. Of course the session wouldn’t have been complete without the kids, who really didn’t seem to mind being in the center of attention. We look forward to your guys’ wedding!

Yesterday we met this great couple that has been together for 11 years! Next year they will finally get married, and that also means that they no longer have to drive for hours to see each other (he lives in Seattle, she in Vancouver)! We hope you enjoy the photos. We had a lot of fun making them!
