Only 2 more months before Amanda & Hayden will be tying the know at Poet’s Cove Resort on Pender Island. Neither myself or Jan have been to Pender, so I can’t wait to see what it is like. I am sure it will be stunning! This couple has been together for about 9 years, which is a very long time. Amanda must have been so thrilled when he proposed to her in May of 2010 when they were travelling in China!
Here are just some of my favourites from their engagement session.
Earlier this week I met up with Lorieann & Josh in Nanaimo. She’s a heavy-duty mechanic and he’s a welder and they live in Fort McMurray where he was born and raised. The day before the session Lorieann emailed me that when they had been at a music festival where she received a black eye from the crowd. Thankfully, a makeup artist from Maffeo Salon was able to cover it up completely! You couldn’t tell at all! I can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of weeks! I am sure it’ll be a lot of fun.
Brittney & Rohann met in grade 9, and started dating a year after they graduated in 2008. They separated for about 18 months while she attended college and he worked. In September last year they eventually got back together. Brittney didn’t have to wait long for the proposal, which happened on November 4th, knowing that they were ready to be together and start their life together. They are both Christians and I love how they have committed to staying pure. It is quite something that they are waiting to share their first kiss as husband and wife!
They told me that they loved old rustic buildings and antiques, so when I told them about the Butter Church in Duncan they were all over it. So that’s what we did for their engagement session.
