After talking on the phone and through email numerous time, it was great to finally meet this sweet couple for their engagement session!
She lives in Montreal and he in Nanaimo. After they met online and decided they wanted to see each other she flew down to Nanaimo where they had their first date in the harbour at a fish & chips shop. Of course, we went back there for a couple of shotsWe also shot at Morrell Lake, which is such a beautiful and peaceful location. Enjoy these favourites from their session.

It had already been a year ago since I met with Amber to chat about their wedding, so I was excited to see her again and meet her fiance for their engagement session last week. Amber & Shane are getting married on Canada Day, which is just five weeks away! They had organized everything far enough in advance that there is not much more to stress about at this point, which is great. For their engagement session we went to the beach, which is literally steps away from their home. It was quite overcast, but I actually prefer that over a bright sunny day anyway

This last shot was taken just after this little boat almost flipped over. I love Amber’s laugh!

The other day I made a trip to the Mainland to shoot Joanna & John’s engagement session. It was good fun hanging out with them and their dog Rileigh who is 10, but behaves like a puppy. Joanna & John live in Port Moody, but their wedding will take place on the Island at Sun Lotus Guesthouse on July 23rd. Their colour scheme for the wedding is a dark blue, dark purple and red and I can’t wait to see what it is going to look like. Jo is very busy with crafting a ton of things for the wedding so I bet it will be beautiful!
The spot where we went for their engagement session is actually the same location where they got engaged. And quite fitting it started to rain during their session just like it was raining when he popped the question. I hope you’ll enjoy these favourites from their session!
